What I Will Fight For

Ten Policy Priorities for Working People

Comprehensive, uncompromised legislative solutions for New Jersey District 6. From a $25 minimum wage to universal healthcare, housing justice, student debt cancellation, and an end to foreign military complicity.

01 Working Class Security

Economic Justice

Working people deserve wages and public support that reflect the real cost of living.

$25 Federal Minimum Wage

I will fight to raise the federal minimum wage to $25 an hour so that every working person can afford basic necessities, housing, and a dignified standard of living.

Youth & Student Income Support

I advocate for $600 per month in direct, guaranteed income support for young adults and students ages 18–22 to relieve financial stress during critical years of education and career transition.

Family & Child Support

Restoring and expanding the COVID-era Child Tax Credit, guaranteeing universal free childcare, and establishing guaranteed paid maternity leave—including 3 months of government-funded maternity pay for per diem workers.

Expanded Food & Hygiene Assistance

Expanding SNAP benefits to keep pace with inflation while raising income eligibility thresholds so no struggling family is denied assistance. Furthermore, I will fight to expand SNAP coverage to include essential menstrual and hygiene products, recognizing them as basic health necessities.

Taxing Wealth

Funding these community investments by closing corporate tax loopholes and imposing higher taxes on billionaires.

02 Healthcare as a Human Right

Medicare for All

Healthcare must be guaranteed to every resident, regardless of income, employment, or immigration status.

Comprehensive Single-Payer Coverage

A national system covering primary and hospital care, prescriptions, vision, dental, mental health, reproductive care, and long-term care—with zero premiums, deductibles, copays, or surprise bills. Patients keep their choice of providers.

Supporting Healthcare Workers

I will fight to raise healthcare workers’ salaries by 10% while expanding investment in staffing, training, and community clinics.

Lowering Costs & Displaced Worker Support

Public purchasing power should negotiate fair drug prices. Workers transitioning out of private insurance/billing roles will receive full retraining, income support, and benefit protections.

03 Housing Justice

Housing for All

A safe, stable home is a human right.

Tenant Protections

I will fight for national rent control and a Renters’ Bill of Rights that caps late fees at $20/month, bans evictions during the school year and winter months, guarantees due process, and compensates tenants displaced by sharp rent hikes.

National Housing Emergency Program

Federal backing to build affordable, green homes at scale, alongside a Housing First approach providing non-conditional shelter to unhoused community members.

Adaptive Reuse & Smart Development

Converting suitable vacant commercial sites into mixed-income housing with integrated community services, prioritizing transit-oriented downtown hubs.

04 Public Education

Universal Public Education

Education should open doors, not lock people into lifelong debt.

Tuition Free & Debt-Free

I support canceling all student debt, making public colleges and trade schools tuition-free, and expanding Pell Grants and workforce training.

Investing in Educators

A 10% pay raise for teachers and paraprofessionals, expanded funding for special education, and robust support for after-school and summer programs.

Transit Access

Free public transportation for all students to remove commuting barriers.

05 Civil Liberties & Family Unity

Immigration Justice & Human Rights

Our immigration policy must protect civil liberties, dignity, and family unity.

Dismantling Abusive Enforcement

I will fight to abolish ICE and dismantle DHS’s punitive enforcement structure, shifting essential public services to transparent, civilian-led agencies.

Ending Detention & Raids

End immigration raids, criminalization, and family separations. Close private detention facilities—including Delaney Hall—and transition to humane, community-based support.

Due Process & Sanctuary Spaces

Protect schools, healthcare centers, and public spaces from enforcement actions while expanding legal representation and fair asylum procedures.

06 Global Justice & Peace

Peace, Foreign Policy, and a Free Palestine

U.S. foreign policy must uphold human rights, international law, and the equal value of every human life.

Ending Military Complicity

Stop all U.S. military aid, weapons transfers, and intelligence cooperation enabling war crimes, genocide, and civilian harm in Gaza.

Self-Determination for Palestinians

Demand an immediate end to war and aggression, full humanitarian access, and the release of all hostages and political detainees. Recognize Palestinians' self-determination of their land.

Anti-Militarism

Reallocate federal funding away from military profiteering and endless wars toward domestic infrastructure, healthcare, and education.

07 Labor Power

Workers' Rights & Economic Democracy

Workers must have the structural power to organize and direct their livelihoods.

Union Empowerment

Mandatory union recognition when at least 50% of workers sign authorization cards, steeper penalties for corporate labor violations, and strong protections against employer retaliation.

Democratic Ownership

Funding and legal frameworks to scale worker-owned cooperatives, backed by public banks designed to invest in local communities.

Public Works Standards

Prevailing wages, safety standards, and union apprenticeship opportunities on all federally funded projects.

Humane Immigration & Labor Standards

Abolish ICE Detention centers and implement a more humane immigration policy.

08 District 6 Mobility

Public Transit & Regional Mobility

District 6 commuters deserve frequent, reliable, clean, and accessible public transit.

Expanding Rail & Bus Frequency

Direct federal funding to increase frequency across NJ Transit rail lines (including the North Jersey Coast Line and Northeast Corridor) and bus routes, significantly expanding evening, weekend, and late-night services for working families.

Affordability & Universal Student Passes

Guarantee free transit for all K-12 and college students, and establish expanded reduced-fare and zero-fare programs for low-income residents, seniors, and riders with disabilities.

100% ADA Accessibility & Station Safety

Ensure every train station, bus stop, platform, and pedestrian crossing across Central Jersey is fully ADA-accessible, well-sheltered, and safely illuminated.

Modern Signaling & Electric Bus Fleets

Upgrade century-old track signals, overhead wires, and switching networks to eliminate delays, while rapidly transitioning district bus fleets to zero-emission electric vehicles.

09 Public Works & Resilience

Modern Infrastructure & Resilient Public Works

Rebuilding Central Jersey's crumbling roads, bridges, water mains, and flood defenses with good union jobs.

Repairing Roads, Bridges & Overpasses

Prioritize federal funding to fix structurally deficient bridges, repave hazardous roadways, and eliminate dangerous bottlenecks throughout Middlesex and Monmouth counties.

Flood Mitigation & Stormwater Systems

Massive investment in modern drainage systems, sea-surge barriers, and natural wetland preservation to defend coastal and riverfront communities against severe storms and recurrent flooding.

Clean Water & 100% Lead Pipe Replacement

Guarantee clean, safe drinking water by immediately replacing all toxic lead service lines in older homes and schools, and modernizing municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Public Accountability & Union Standards

Enforce open public dashboards tracking project budgets, contractors, and timelines, while guaranteeing prevailing union wages and apprenticeship programs on all federally supported infrastructure.

10 Green New Deal

Environmental Justice & Clean Water

100% renewable energy by 2030, 20 million clean energy jobs, and a fair just transition.

The Green New Deal calls for reaching 100% renewable energy by 2030, ending fossil fuel extraction, democratic public ownership, cutting military spending by 50%+ to fund climate infrastructure, and protecting affected workers through a just transition.
